Fuck you Jetstar.
Arrived at Sydney Airport at 5:00pm, for a 6:10pm departure. Checked flight – leaving gate 53, on time.
While waiting, signed up for Vodafone wireless broadband. As the credit check ended, my flight changed to cancelled.
Called Jetstar, who said the flight was cancelled earlier in the day. Apparently they’d called me and left a message… but I had no missed calls, no messages.
They couldn’t help – neither Jetstar nor Qantas has any flights left to Melbourne tonight. Checked online – Qantas still has 2 flights with tickets on-sale. Called Jetstar back – some mumbled excuse about using all their Qantas flights already.
Gave up arguing with call centre monkeys. Got a refund that I should receive in 5-6 weeks. Got online, bought a $180 Virgin flight. Plus 83¢ for carbon neutral. Plus $35 to get their unlimited food/drink while waiting the 2 hours.
Thank you, Virgin Blue. Of course, it’s not your fault my car is now stuck in Avalon.
Fuck you Jetstar. Fuck you Qantas. Never again.
